There are two types of rural settlement patterns that occurred in the early stages of urbanism; Clustered Settlements and Dispersed Settlements
Clustered Settlements are settlements where a number of families live in close proximity to each other with fields surrounding the collection of houses and farm buildings.
Dispersed Settlements are settlements where farmers are living on individual farms isolated from neighbors rather than alongside other farmers.
Look at the following pictures and identify what type of pattern the settlement has. Write the pattern on the worksheet.
